Consultant Anaesthetists

Patients requiring a block or general anaesthetic will attend a pre-assessment clinic. At the clinic blood test, an ECG and MRSA swab will be taken.

Selected patients receive additional assessment by Consultant Anaesthetists. Dependent on your medical conditions additional tests such as Echocardiogram, Sleep Studies or Haematology review may be necessary.

At The Yorkshire Clinic we may not be able to offer you surgery if you have significant medical problems, due to a lack of high dependency and critical care units.

Mr Jeffers works with a group of specialist consultant anaesthetists who are expert at upper limb block anaesthesia which is performed using direct ultrasound visualisation for accuracy and safety.

Anaesthetic services are provided by the anaesthetist department at Bradford Royal Infirmary  and consultants from Bradford Anaesthetic Service at the Yorkshire Clinic.
