Hand Therapy This specialist service at Bradford Royal Infirmary is led by Sara Dixon our Band 8 ESP Hand Therapist, who has over 30 years of experience. In addition we have two Band 7s hand therapist with physiotherapy and occupational therapy background respectively. We have also have a number Band 6 therapists who are beginning their specialisation or rotating through their training and further support from Band 3/4 therapy/ splinting assistants.
Our therapists will assess, oversee and co-ordinate your therapy pre and post-operatively. Your ongoing care maybe shared with other physiotherapists within the local or regional area dependent on their facilities, expertise and availability.
Combined Hand Clinic MDT This clinic takes place on alternative Wednesday afternoons at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
It is attended by our specialist hand therapists in addition to Mr Jeffers and his Orthoplastic Hand Surgery colleagues (Mr David Dickson, Mr Zak Sharrif, Prof Ajay Mahajan).
This clinic is to allow a multi-disciplinary team discussion for patients with complex cases and needs for treatment.
This clinic is only accessible via a Hand Surgery Consultant referral.
