Russ works across the departments of Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery leading and providing expertise in elective and trauma hand & wrist surgery.
Both trauma and elective hand clinics take place in the level 1 (opposite ward 4) in outpatient area in the Trauma and Orthopaedic department. Information about referral and outpatients can be found here and the virtual hand clinic here
Patients are admitted for elective and trauma surgery to the ultra-clean orthopaedic ward 14. Some minor local anaesthetic operations take place on The Hand Unit on level 0.
All surgery is carried out at Bradford Royal Infirmary with the vast majority as a day case under awake local or block anaesthetic, information about admission for theatre can be found here and regarding your anaesthetic here.
Russ works with an expert team of outpatient clinic staff, MSK Radiologists, Hand Therapists, Anaesthetists, theatre and ward staff in addition to the excellent support he receives from his very patient secretary Sarah.
