Russ works across the departments of Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery leading and providing hand, wrist and elbow surgery.
He takes an active part in the emergency assessment of soft tissue and bony hand injuries. The majority of the assessment takes place in outpatient department in the Trauma and Orthopaedic. He also provides support to his Orthopaedic colleagues in the surgical reconstruction of complex hand, wrist and elbow injuries on Ward 27.
For non-emergency and elective conditions he will initially review you in the outpatient department in the Trauma and Orthopaedic clinic at the front of the building next to A&E. Elective day surgery takes place on Ward 5.
All surgery is carried out at Bradford Royal Infirmary with the vast majority as a day case under awake local or block anaesthetic.

Russ works with an expert team of outpatient clinic staff, MSK Radiologists, Hand Therapists, Anaesthetists, theatre and ward staff in addition to the excellent support he receives from his very patient secretary Jenny.
