Physiotherapry
This specialist service at Bradford Royal Infirmary is led by Sara Dixon who will assess, oversee and co-ordinate your therapy pre and post-operatively. Your ongoing care maybe shared with other physiotherapists within the local or regional area dependent on their facilities, expertise and availability.
Occupational Therapy
This service is based within the Rheumatology Department at St. Lukes Hospital and also at Bradford Royal Infirmary for postoperative treatments. Patients are assessed for aids for activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide off the shelf and custom made splints pre and post-operatively.
Combined Hand Clinic
This clinic takes place on alternative Wednesday afternoons within the physiotherapy department at Bradford Royal Infirmary. It is attended by the specialist hand physiotherapist and occupational therapist in addition to Mr Jeffers and his Orthoplastic Hand Surgery colleagues (Mr David Dickson from Orthopaedics and Messers Zak Sharrif, Ajay Mahajan and Jas Tan form Plastic Surgery). This clinic is to allow a multi-disciplinary team discussion for patients with complex cases and needs for treatment. This clinic is only accessible via a Hand Surgery Consultant.
